Navigating the roads can be unpredictable, but with a Chrysler, you’re equipped with more than just a car–you’re armed with some of the most sophisticated safety technologies in the industry. Every Chrysler model is designed with your safety as a priority and features a comprehensive suite of advanced systems that shield you and your passengers at every turn. Ready to explore how Chrysler’s cutting-edge safety features are redefining secure travel? Let’s dive into the innovative protections that come standard in your Chrysler minivan.
Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning
This feature uses a camera and radar to watch the road ahead. If it detects a vehicle in front of you, the radar will determine the distance between the two vehicles. If it detects that the distance is closing rapidly, it will sound a warning and apply the Active Braking system to slow your Chrysler or bring it to an instant stop.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go (ACC)
This cruise control can be set to a certain speed, but it will also maintain a set distance between your Chrysler and any vehicles ahead of you. Radar will detect if the distance between you and the other vehicle closes, for example, the other vehicle brakes. The ACC will adjust your speed to maintain the distance and apply braking if necessary. Once the other vehicle moves, ACC will restart your engine and increase speed to maintain the original distance.
LaneSense Lane Departure Warning
This system uses a camera and sensors to identify the lane markings. If it detects that you are drifting out of your lane without activating a turn signal, a visual warning will appear on your dash, and a warning will sound. The system also applies torque to the steering wheel in the opposite direction you’re heading. The included Lane Keep Assist focuses on keeping your vehicle in the center of the lane lines.
Blind Spot Monitoring System
Blind spots are difficult, sometimes even impossible, to safely view while you’re driving. They can make lane changing potentially dangerous in traffic as you won’t see an approaching vehicle in a blind spot. Powerful sensors monitor your vehicle’s blind spots and will signal an alert if a vehicle enters one. An icon will appear in the exterior mirror on the approaching vehicle’s side.
ParkSense Rear Park Assist
ParkSense uses rear sensors to watch the area directly behind your Chrysler. If the sensors detect your rear bumper is getting too close to an object, you’ll hear a warning sound and a warning icon will appear on your screen. This system will also automatically apply the brakes to reduce your speed or stop your Chrysler to prevent a collision.
There are many other standard and available systems to make your driving experience even safer. If you’d like to know more about any of these features, visit us today at K & J CDJR in Breese, IL.
